Prior Steps to building a Deck:

1. Locate where you want to build your deck , each city , county has minimum set back from the property lines please check the regulation.
2. Call 811 to have the city come out and locate if there is any utility line underground.
3. Contact your Contractor to come out and do Measurements and go over details
4. Submit a Building Plan
5. once approved construction can begin 3 phase to complete a Brand New deck.

Prior step Building A shed /Studio

1. Knowing your layout design, what will the shed studio be used for?
2. Check with your city what are the property setback requirements, if a shed under the size of 150 S.F requires a Permit? If a Shed is under the requirement size than no building permit required.
3. Will you be running power to your Shed ? Will You be running heat ? If yes to both you will most likely need a building permit. If yes to just Power , example : electrical outlets, light switch etc then a permit for electrical only.
